Loved the article. All the points l could contribute as to why we need affordable housing on the island have been addressed by the ladies quoted in the article. As for the lHT and MDI365, bless their hearts. Mitchell is a billionaire and they are wont, to act as such. l recall a resident that constantly complained about him being too noisy while adding on to his cottage. He solved the problem by offering the resident twice what their property was worth. He is a much better story than another NEH resident widely reported on this past season. l have no proof, though l feel at root here, is those of generational wealth/independent means are afraid of their backyard becoming housing for, "Section 8". As private entities they can require that at least one adult having a job in town/island paying under X amount. Tempest in a teapot/paradise...
