Well, at least now we know how Lenny paid off those million-dollar mortgages a year after he took them out. He just took the cash from the tax-exempt charities. The sheer effontry of the behavior of these Federalist Society chums is just staggering. Then again, pals of Clarence don't much need to worry; the image of Lenny slumming with Clarence at Harlan Crow's mega-mansion in the Adirondacks, complete with a staff of chefs, flown over on a Global 5000 (costs running at $17,000 a hour), putting in a good word over a nice glass of sherry, just warms your soul.
People who buy multi million dollar homes often do not list themselves as the buyer. Look for something like "XYZ Inc" and you will probably find a dozen home purchases that roughly fit that description. Which of them in Lenny? Well that is precisely the point! I once built a database for a wealthy coastal town designed to track harbor fees paid by wealthy yacht owners and I almost never encountered actual owner names.
If you are going to take up residence in a town and you aren't planing on sleeping on the sidewalk or renting (what would the Federalist Society say about either of those options) you more or less have to admit to owning one home. I mean signing in as XYZ Inc is okay for "investment" purposes but using that for your main residence would be very low brow not to mention b;owing your cover.

We need to buy more sidewalk chalk.
Tell me where to send in a contribution to the chalk fund…
I looked in land records and do not see a second Mt Desert residence under his name.

Makes sense but his other house is listed in his name.
