Dear Friends and Neighbors, Concerned Citizens of Bar Harbor,
We have arrived at a critical watershed in our town’s history. We have to decide when we vote June 13 whether Walsh Family enterprises (Ocean Properties) owns our town or it belongs to we the people.
Loving the work of the QSJ, necessary digging and truth-telling (and yes, pls tone down MAGA accusations- until truly warranted, that is.) I’d like to support financially but current option a bit steep. Interested if you can create a lower tier.
Dear Mark, thank you for writing. You may continue to get my blog for free. I’m looking for donations to help support my expenses and my desire to hire an intern. The false narrative “Bar Harbor for All” is exactly like MAGA. Create a premise which sounds indisputable and then look for support… in this case they are riding on the backs of generations of people for whom America clearly was not for all. It’s perverse.
The candidates are good for the town, people are paying attention. Bar Harbor is more than a touron destination, its time to treat it like a home rather than a storefront.
The "bar harbor welcomes all" campaign is a filthy way to try and gain support for selling out the town, very MAGA like IMO. Politics in this town sure are smelling like a cesspool to me.

Last I saw the Village Washtub was not open to the public - has that changed?
