BAR HARBOR, Nov 1, 2022 - students at the high school were being evacuated to Mount Desert Elementary School this afternoon after a lockdown was ordered.
The lockdown order was issued around 12:30 p.m. after a serious threat was reported, according to the Town of Bar Harbor’s Facebook page. At 4 p.m. students were still in the process of being evacuated to the Elementary school in Northeast Harbor to reunite with their guardians.

Thank you Lincoln for keeping us posted
This is very serious. However. The statements I have seen talk about the “ reunification” which presumably means parents picking up their kids, and “reunification tables” where the children can be met. I am a card carrying liberal and vote straight democratic 90 pct of the time. But I am offended by this PC gobbledygook. Just call it pick up. This kind of californization is how we end up with Trump and LePage. “Reunification” sounds like the “The Rapture” Please stop this sort of nonsense, or don’t be surprised by the likes of LePage.
